I did successfully finish the grill cloth project before my Tucson Zoo Christmas Lights show. Barely, that is – by two hours. Three staple guns later, I had grill cloth!
Once my fifteen-year-old staple gun stopped working, I bought a new Craftsmen staple gun. The design looked great, and placed the trigger pressure on the front, making it easier to be accurate in staple placement. The lever was large, so the trigger pressure was less than most staple guns. But what good is an improved design when the staple tray explodes every time you pull the trigger, sending staples flying everywhere, and causing you to miss your aim!?
One new generic Ace staple gun later and I had the tools I needed to fill the grill with staples.
